5 Years Warranty
EIZO stands behind the workmanship of this FlexScan model with an industry-leading five year warranty.
Presence Sensor for Power Savings
EIZO's EcoView Sense feature unites convenience with savings by ensuring that the FlexScan EV2333W automatically conserves power when it is not in use. EcoView Sense is an integrated presence sensor that prompts the monitor to switch to power save mode when it does not detect anyone for 70 seconds, and then resume normal operation when the user returns. To accurately enter and stay in power save mode while the user is away from the monitor, EcoView Sense even differentiates between animate and inanimate objects so it will still enter power save mode if it detects an object such as the backrest of a chair.

EcoView Sense automatically signals the screen to activate and stay on, or switch to power save mode by detecting the user's presence or absence.
TCO Displays 5.0 Certified, EPEAT Gold Rated
This monitor meets strict environmental performance requirements for low energy consumption, product and packaging recyclability, and manufacture, as well as specific ergonomic and functional conditions. To this end, the FlexScan EV2333W has earned the Green Electronics Council and US EPA consumer electronics environmental assessment program's highest rating: EPEAT Gold, and it is TCO Displays 5.0 certified.

Product Life Cycle Ecology
Compared to a previous EIZO 24-inch widescreen monitor, The FlexScan EV2333W uses less internal components and has an ultra-slim body that is 37% thinner and 40% lighter. This allows the monitor to be shipped in a smaller container which uses up to 100% recycled material. These considerations made during product development, in tandem with the monitor's EcoView features, help to reduce environmental burden at each stage of the product's life cycle.
Compared to a previous FlexScan 24" widescreen monitor, the FlexScan EV2333W’s slimmed-down cabinet design cuts the use and weight of sheet metal components, shown here, by up to 90%.
Optimized Brightness with Auto EcoView
An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the FlexScan EV2333W measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. With the monitor set to it default brightness setting of 100%, the EV2333W consumes 41 watts, but with Auto EcoView activated, this figure drops to 25 watts allowing it to achieve 39% greater operational energy efficiency.

Zero
Watts When Turned Off
When the power save mode and off timer are set, this monitor consumes less than 1 watt. When turned off via the main power switch, it consumes no electricity at all.
Confirm Power Savings with EcoView Index
A user activated on-screen index shows the level of power savings in correlation with the monitor's brightness to encourage environmental consciousness while working. When EcoView Index is fully illuminated, the monitor is operating at optimum energy efficiency.

EyeCare Manager
EIZO’s EyeCare Manager prompts workers to take scheduled breaks to avoid eye fatigue caused by prolonged monitor use. EyeCare also totals and displays on screen the monitor's usage hours for each day and month to promote worker appreciation of improved work habits.
Improved Work Efficiency, Reduced Visual Fatigue
EIZO conducted a survey in 2008 to establish the relationship between eye fatigue and monitor use. The results showed that features like Auto EcoView, ergonomic stands, and the EyeCare utility helped reduce eye fatigue and improved work efficiency by 12.5%.

Placement Flexibility
The ergonomic and highly-versatile FlexStand offer tilt, swivel and height adjustment. The FlexStand also offers portrait rotation, laptop-like screen placement, and at
225 mm, the industry's greatest range of height adjustment.* The FlexStand features an innovative, bearing-less design that reduces mechanical wear and the amount of torque required to adjust height. A quick release feature on the FlexStand allows for easy monitor reconfiguration.

16:9 Aspect Ratio
The FlexScan EV2333W is one of the first FlexScan models to feature a 16:9 aspect ratio. The 16:9 wide format is the same aspect ratio used by HDTV and it lets you enjoy multimedia content without horizontal letterboxing.
Next Generation Connectivity
The FlexScan EV2333W is the first FlexScan Monitor to come with DisplayPort connectivity. DisplayPort connectivity allows digital audio and video signal transmission via a single, high-bandwidth cable at distances up to
15 meters without any signal degradation.

7 ms Response Time
To ensure moving color images such as real-time stock data, news, and on-line videos are displayed smoothly and without ghosting, an overdrive circuit is included. This overdrive circuit reduces the LCD panel's gray-to-gray response time to 7 ms.
Fine Contrast Mode Selection
For optimum viewing of different kinds of content, EIZO’s Fine Contrast function includes modes for office applications (Text mode), video (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), web browsing (sRGB mode), and user-defined settings (Custom mode). Modes switch automatically with the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD software, or manually with the press of a button.
Individual Adjustment of Gamma
For better image consistency in multi-monitor environments, EIZO performs advanced gamma adjustment at the factory, which minimizes discrepancies among monitor gamma characteristics.
Audio
The FlexScan EV2333W comes with a built-in 0.35 watt speaker on the front bezel and a headphone jack on the side of the monitor.
Commitment to Quality
While outsourcing production is now common practice in the monitor industry, EIZO continues to develop, manufacture, and quality control test its products the same way it has throughout its 40-year history – with its own staff at its own factories in
Japan.
Customer Assurance
A five-year warranty offers a long service life, and compliance with leading industry standards such as TUV Ergonomics ensures a better working environment. The EIZO Eco Products 2009 label sets strict internal requirements for manufacturing and packaging, stipulates that the monitor must not consume any power when turned off, and requires that its eco profile is available on the EIZO web site.
